a much needed reminder. most nights as I go to bed I hold my heart. i have been doing that for years now. it’s hard for me to unwind and let go (especially at night). the endless to-do list running on an incessant loop…reminding me always of how much more is forever left to do. but this has helped, this remembering of what matters most true. this has sustained me, bringing such comfort and sincere serenity (as I drift off). one hand on my heart, one on my belly, i breathe in and out and through. remembering to remember, always, this is what’s important, emily. this is what is most essential (at least to me). this heart. my heart (and your heart too)…
