We cannot avoid difficulties
Life will inevitably be filled
with ups and downs
You will struggle
And that is not a sign
of weakness

I really want to emphasize this
because I think so many of us
feel ashamed
when we are in pain
and that only makes it worse

It only makes it harder to recover
Shame is cultivated
by secrecy and judgment
Judgment of self
and a belief
that you are not good enough

So I am here to tell you, you are
You are entirely good enough
And that ultimately a life well lived
is not measured
by the challenges you face
but how you walked through them
How you faced the fire,
how you felt the burn
and how you carried on
So yes, while you may see me struggle –
I can assure you
you will not see me quit

I so appreciate how so many of you
reach out to me
and share your hearts
I adore being with you on this journey

And I want you to know
that this is a place
you too can share

Share your fears
your insecurities
your pain
your hope
your joy
and your dreams

It is all welcomed here
No judgement
No shame
Not from me
