Every year we have a live graduation event for all of our certification training students from institute for the psychology of eating in colorado, most of whom we have never met in person. you see, we run an online training, and so after months of going through hundreds of hours of content, we finally meet face to face in this carbon-based reality, and it feels like the rarest of treats. to meet a friend you have never met in person but felt bonded to in a deep way is a unique experience afforded by virtual communication in this day and age, and it’s so good. my favorite part is the hugging line at the end, where i get a moment with each person who cares to engage with me, so many tears and smiles, tender words and kind offerings. grateful i get to work that does good. grateful I get to meet so many of you…
