oct 2 croatia

so a few months ago i got a call to come speak about business building to a group of women entrepreneurs on the adriatic sea. and ya know i’ve cut back on my traveling to speak, but this was just too compelling of an offer to refuse with all my practical concerns about timing and what else i needed to be doing. normally i am a pros and cons kinda girl, laboring over decisions, but this just felt like a clear yes and so i jumped in. and boy am i glad i did.
sharing what i’ve learned from running multiple businesses these last 15 years is one of my most favorite things to do. any way i can guide and support other women bosses to win and prevent them from drowning in the ways i nearly did is so nourishing for me, it seems almost silly at times that i get paid to have so much fun and feel so fulfilled. this week was no different. such a joy to talk shop with other women wanting to make a big difference through business, not to mention the location of this event blew me away. stunning. misty eyes every evening as the sun set and the light danced with the water caressing our boat. luxurious meals in settings that felt like we had landed in a movie… and city walks early in the morning where the very old buildings whispered stories unspoken.
here are my favorite shots from our adventures on the sea. we laughed a lot, learned so much, played hard, danced free, ate everything, drank sparkling rosé for days, masterminded, made a mistake or two, missed an evening or three of sleep, bonded over coffee, cried hard, and got inspired.
grateful for Sara who hosted this entire experience, this boss voyage, this is a woman who cares and it came through loud and clear. so enjoyed my fellow speakers, Jennifer, Ellen, Decker, who shared their knowledge and wisdom so graciously. delighted with the participants who are all up to real good and game changing things in the world. obsessed with our crew that took such good care of us. and pleased with me for not choosing practicality and instead honoring adventure and connection this time at sea…
