Missouri memories, just a few of my more favorite moments. dusk on the dock, children chillin, waves made, stories told, geese fed, friends made, kisses had, bread thrown, and sincere surprises. (for me) there is nothing better than visiting the old home of new friends and learning about them from where they did their growing. it’s been a couple years and i’ve heard the stories but never seen the soil, felt the air or tasted the tastes of a world that feels far away and yet familiar. we grow up different, we do, but some things seem to translate always, like card games and canoeing, family dessert recipes, late night laughs over cringeworthy stories and teary eyes for those who are no longer here, oh and places you take the new folks when you want them to know where you are from. oh and fun, we had fun… (a few pictures from kansas too as we pass through on our way home, so beautiful)…
