Nutritional Self-Defense

Do you eat like a ninja? Does your diet have the moves to protect you from environmental toxins? In today’s world, human-made chemicals seem to be everywhere — in the air, in the soil, and in our food. From our shampoo to our makeup to our clothes, we’re constantly covering our bodies with substances that didn’t exist a few hundred years ago. These materials can be very useful, but they can also put a strain on our immune systems and interfere with our body’s natural processes of digestion, metabolism, and regeneration. But here’s the good news: instead of living in constant fear of assault from harmful chemicals, we can boost our body’s defenses by making dietary choices that enhance our immunity.
