Oh, I just love this
I have thought this many times
Tag a sister who “gets” you
These are the most precious of connections
Sometimes we take that which is comfortable for granted
I know I can be guilty of that as well
But there was a time in my life I didn’t feel I belonged anywhere,
and as if there was something wrong with me
for feeling so different from the people around me
One of the many things I love about social media and our community here
is that the more I am true to who I am,
the more the people who resonate find me
Every time I post, many people unfollow me
This is okay with me, as I want people around me who get what I am doing
Who resonate with the teachings and sharings
And I want you to know:
“I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.”
One of the best ways to find your people is to be yourself – truly
So many of us live in shame about who we are
We see our flaws as weaknesses and judge ourselves
for not being like how we imagine others to be
Your uniqueness is beautiful
I welcome you in all of your strangeness, flaws and bizarreness
These are the sweetest pieces of you,
so don’t let anyone tell you differently
From a fellow weirdo,
I love you
